There are three core multiplayer experiences: All-Out Warfare (comprised of Conquest and Breakthrough modes), Battlefield Portal (a multiplayer sandbox), and Hazard Zone (a high-stakes mode that involves capturing intel and extracting it). And what we have is the biggest and most robust multiplayer suite we’ve ever had in a Battlefield game. There’s no story campaign as DICE opted to focused solely on multiplayer. On the flip side, Battlefield 2042 is set in the near future with the world ravaged by global warming, collapsed economies and broken alliances.
